Our Courses

The Bournemouth Bay Teacher Training Partnership is a consortium of 19 schools offering initial teacher training in the secondary age range.

Central training takes place at either our Poole Hub or our Christchurch Hub.

The lead for the partnership is Twynham Learning, which has been accredited by the Department for Education to deliver a full-time one-year training course running from September to July.

Successful completion of this training brings with it the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) validated by the University of Reading.

A distinctive feature of our training is the focus on carefully staged and appropriately supervised practical classroom experience within two contrasting secondary schools, which is further supported by academic and professional study delivered via central training.
